On March 14, Cuban sericulturedelegation led by the head Mr. Gonzalez Perez Eduardo Arcangel paid an official visit to JUST and exchanged views on further deepening thecooperation of Sino-Cuban sericulture. President Zhou Nanping participated inthe meeting which was chaired by Zheng Peigang, Secretary of JUST DisciplineCommittee.

President Zhou Nanping extended warm welcometo the delegation and introduced the achievements made in sericulturecooperation between China and Cuba. Besides, he briefed Mr. Arcangel and hisdelegation on the developments of JUST, with a wish that Cuban guestswould further deepen their understanding on JUST and increase the communicationwith each other, so as to lay a good foundation for the signing of the nextround of bilateral cooperation agreements.

Mr. Alkanhel spoke highly of the developmentsof JUST and congratulated heartfeltly on the achievements made by theUniversity in the field of scientific research. Moreover, he said Sino-Cubansericulture cooperation project is a common concern to leaders of the twocountries and crystallization of the bilateral cooperation. The development andgrowth of Cuban sericulture industry can’t be achieved without the support of JUST.Finally, he expressed strong wish to sign a new cooperation agreement andcontinue to deepen collaboration with JUST.

On behalf of the Cuban Embassy in China,Ms Marta, theCommercial Commissioner of the Cuban Embassy in China gratituded to JUST for thegreat support and assistance provided. She also said that Cuban Embassy inChina would provide all possible resources to promote the bilateral cooperatein sericulture.
