JUST Overseas Student Won the Third Prize in the 3rd ICCT National Finals

The 3rd International Communicative Competence Test （University） National Finals was held inSoochow University on May 29. Our Russian student Milana, majoring in BBA, wonthe third prize with her excellent oral English and international communicativeskills, which was the first time that our foreign students won a national awardin national competition. Our university won the Excellent Organization Award.

After three months of preparation, audition andrematch, Milana won the first prize in the north China competition from over3,000 registered candidates, and finally entered the final as one of the top 50of the rematch. In the final, Milana developed a reasonable discussion and expressedher ideas in a vivid and natural way. When answering the judges' questions, Milanawas accurate in viewpoint and behaved gracefully. She also competed withChinese students from famous universities in China such as Fudan University,Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xiamen University, Sun Yat-sen University andBeijing Foreign Studies University.

The International Communicative Competence Test(ICCT) is an authoritative test based on English language in the interculturalfield. It is under the guidance of the foreign expert service department of theMinistry of Science and Technology and sponsored by the Foreign Talent ResearchCenter. With the purpose of "laying solid foundation of language,improving communicative competence, expanding international vision, andspreading Chinese culture", the test focuses on the basic knowledge,attitudes, thinking skills, etc., through multi-layer selection and multipleevaluation methods.
