JUST Held Overseas Students’ 2020 New Year Gala
Overseas students’ 2020 New Year Gala was held in multi-function hall, east campus on the evening of 20th December. Vice President Wang Jiayou and staff from International Office, School of Graduates, Security Department, Finance Department, Youth League Committee attended the gala, to celebrate the coming new year with overseas students. Dean Zhu Renqing delivered a warm New Year speech and extended warm wishes to all the teachers and students. With careful preparation and hard rehearsing, the whole gala was full of wonderful performances.
The Gala began with the hot and passionate flash dance WAKA WAKA. Students from all over the world lit up the winter night with hot dancing. The ethnic wreath dance performed by Russian and Kazakhstan students together with the north-Korean long encouragement symbolizing spring, drew applause from the audience. Chinese traditional fan dance “Pu Sa Man” and the GuZheng Tai Chi show fully demonstrate the essence of Chinese culture. Cameroonian and Ghanaian students brought the audience back to the vast grassland with their enthusiastic dance, and bring the gala to the climax. Students from Ethiopia, Ukraine and Pakistan sang Halleluah and When we were yong with sincere emotion, touching the audience.
The New Year Gala ended successfully with the song My Motherland and I by all the teachers and students from School of overseas education.
