Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding (NUS) Sent a Letter to JUST on Fighting Against COVID-19

A friend in need is a friend indeed. When the teachers and students of JUST were doing their best to prevent and control the epidemic, President Trushliakov of NUS sent a letter of condolence to President Zhou Nanping of JUST on the outbreak of COVID-19, conveying the concern of all teachers and students of JUST.

In his letter, President Trushliakov said that NUS is ready to provide all possible assistance to JUST at any time and will spare no effort to ensure the safety of Chinese students in Ukraine. He hoped that China could win the battle against the epidemic speediest and restore normal working order soon. At the same time, President Trushliakov sincerely invited President Zhou to lead a delegation on September 20 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of NUS.

President Zhou Nanping wrote back to express his sincere thanks to President Trushliakov for his concern, greetings and invitation, and expressed his expectation to restore normal working order at an early date and discuss in-depth exchanges and cooperation with NUS.

JUST deeply feel the profound friendship of NUS, and believe that under the joint efforts of all the teachers and students and international friends of the concern and support, we will soon succeed and carry out cooperation and exchanges at a new level.

It is reported that the Sino-Ukrainian cooperative education project between JUST NUS started from 2012. Up to now, JUST has enrolled a total of 382 students for 8 sessions, and has 164 graduates with 100% employment rate. In 2016, the project was selected by the Education Ministry of Jiangsu Province as the breeding site of the first batch of high-level demonstration construction projects for Sino-foreign cooperatively-run universities, and passed the mid-term inspection in 2018.
